Everyone you love, under the same hundred-year-old pines
Willow Woods Park is a small wedding venue near Lake Arrowhead — five minutes away, thirty-five from Big Bear Lake, high in the San Bernardino Mountains where a logging camp stood a century ago. Thirty to eighty guests, cabins and forest that need no decorating, and a coordinator called Katie who runs the whole day for you.
Vows under old growth trees, dinner under the lights, and one setting holding the whole thing together from the first look to the last toast.
Some afternoons the sun comes straight down through the trees and lands on the aisle.
Nobody arranges it. It is what this clearing does in the late afternoon, and it has been doing it since long before the cabins went up.
It is also why photographs taken here on somebody’s phone come out looking like a person was paid to light them.
From vows beneath the pines to the last song at ten
You get ready in two of the 1920s cabins, a short walk from the aisle. Your guests park, come in under the trees, and sit down in the open air. You marry at the arch, with the waterfall behind you. Then drinks and photographs while we reset the space behind you, and dinner goes out at round tables as the lights come on. The last song is at ten, and Lake Arrowhead — where everyone is staying the night — is five minutes back down the hill.

What the photographs cannot tell you
- Small on purpose
- Thirty to eighty. Most venues on this mountain start at sixty and are built for a hundred and fifty, which is how a forty-person wedding ends up feeling under-attended in a room meant for three times the number.
- Nobody gets back in a car
- Vows, dinner, and dancing all happen within a few hundred feet of each other. No shuttle between the ceremony and the reception, and nobody misses the toast because they were looking for the next room.
- Nothing to decorate
- Hundred-year-old pines, 1920s log cabins, garden paths, and lights strung through the branches. Couples send us their Pinterest boards and then realize they have booked one.
- Everyone sleeps five minutes away
- Lake Arrowhead is a mile down the road and has the full range of it — hotels, inns, cabins, and rentals at every price. Your people pick what suits them rather than what a venue block leaves them with.
